Tuula Vuola
I am a passionate translator who loves the adventure of moving between languages. For me, translation is much more than just a profession or a livelihood – it’s the fascinating process of discovering how an idea is best expressed in another language and how a text can be adapted to suit its purpose.
With academic backgrounds in both Translation Studies (MA) and Business Administration (BBA), I combine linguistic expertise with commercial insight. My specialization in legal and administrative translation, strengthened by my experience at Merilampi Attorneys Ltd., means I am well equipped to handle demanding and precise texts.
At the same time, my broad life experience enriches my work. I’ve gained perspective from living abroad – as an au pair in New Zealand, on a volunteer work camp in Mongolia, and as an exchange student in Paris – as well as from travels across nearly every continent, from Alaska and Chile to Australia. These days, I enjoy a quieter life in Heinola, following my children’s journey through daycare and school.
I offer translation services across a wide range of fields, from law and business to culture, travel, education, and wellbeing. I particularly enjoy translating texts related to travel, family life, relationships, parenting, and education, but I am also happy to work with topics such as law, culture and religion, nature and outdoor activities, health and wellbeing, cooking, gardening, interior design, and fashion.
